Downtown Traverse City

Downtown Traverse City is the beating heart of Northern Michigan — a walkable stretch of Victorian storefronts, world-class restaurants, craft breweries, and boutique shops, all steps from the sparkling waters of West Grand Traverse Bay. Whether you're grabbing a cherry pie, catching a sunset at Clinch Park, or exploring Front Street, there's always something happening here.

Suttons Bay

Suttons Bay is a quiet, unhurried village on the eastern shore of the Leelanau Peninsula, where life still revolves around the marina, the farmers market, and the simple pleasure of having nowhere to be. Just 17 miles from Traverse City, it feels like a world away — with acclaimed farm-to-table dining, a thriving local wine and cider scene, and some of the most beautiful bay views in all of Northern Michigan. Lake Ann

Lake Ann is a tiny, tucked-away village about 20 minutes southwest of Traverse City that most tourists drive right past — which is exactly what makes it special. Home to the legendary Lake Ann Brewing Company, a charming general store, and a serene lake perfect for a quiet afternoon on the water, Lake Ann offers a slower, more genuine slice of Northern Michigan life. Small in size but big on charm, it's the kind of place you stumble upon and immediately want to come back to.

Leland & Northport

Leland and Northport sit at the northern tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, where the vineyards give way to fishing villages and the road eventually runs out of places to go. Leland's Fishtown — a row of historic net sheds along the river channel — is one of the most photographed spots in Michigan, and still earns it. Northport, just up the road, is quieter and less on the tourist circuit, with Leelanau State Park, a lighthouse, and views across Grand Traverse Bay that make the drive worth it on their own.
